What Is An Air Compressor?
An air compressor is equipment that can convert electrical energy to kinetic energy in form of compressed air. It can also be defined as a machine that can compress air to a high pressure. They are commonly used in the industries i.e. for industrial purposes. They are usually classified based on their pressure output and their design/operational principle. We have low-pressure ones (with pressure output of 150 psi or less), medium-pressure (with pressure output of 151 psi to 1,000 psi), and high-pressure devices (with a pressure output of 1,000 psi and above). If we classify or name them according to their design and mode of operation we have rotary screw compressor and turbo compressors. Continue reading
